I digitally drew 66 animals, selecting from each taxonomical order to ensure objective diversity. 15 of these animals are humans. I vectorized the drawings in Illustrator.
I created a blend from each illustration. The blends have 58 steps, which, when exported, translate to 58 frames per GIF.
Each blend shares the same starting and ending frames to allow for looping. In addition, I created 8 blends with amorphous splotches for "idle" GIFs between clicks.
I converted frames to GIFs in Photoshop.
I coded an HTML file that triggers animals GIFs upon click, with abstract GIFs playing on idle.
