

SUMMARY
Ohio University Mindfulness-Based Living (OUMBL) was founded in 2023, and since then, they have wanted to increase their brand awareness. This prompted me to propose a redesign for their logo that more strongly adheres to design conventions.
PROCESS
I began by analyzing the specific changes the original logo required.

After sketching and picking my strongest ideas, I provided the client with three different options.

OPTION 1 remains the most faithful to the original design:

CONSULTATION
During consultation, the client shared a key insight with me. He pointed out that the bottom leaves of the original logo represent both an infinite symbol and the crossed legs of a meditator. Not wanting to strip the original logo of its clever meanings, I returned to sketching.
I provided two additional sketches. The client liked the open lineart treatment of the first, which also most resembles the original logo.

I vectorized the chosen sketch in Adobe Illustrator.


The logo now appears on social media and branded promotions.
