Narrative Motion Story
“FLAT FRIEND”
Scope
An open-ended project intended to introduce Adobe After Effects by prompting students to recreate an animation they like or create any motion graphics piece.
Approach
My piece embodies a somber tone with deadpan humor by way of color grading and acting. The childlike nature of the story and the mystery of the ending balance these serious elements with a sense of whimsy.

Informative Motion Story
“Cycles”
Scope
Create a motion graphic that teaches something or communicates information, such as with animated infographics or "anything else you can dream up."
Approach
I wanted to educate audiences on the lesser-known topic of the full menstrual cycle—not just menstruation, but the rest of the month, too. By associating the information with a greater cosmic story, I hoped to make the information more memorable as well as evoke a sense of wonder.
Animation made using Adobe After Effects. Assets made with analog methods and with ibisPaint X, as well as Photoshop and Illustrator.
